Default Valvoline NextGen Opinions

So does anybody have any opinions on Valvoline NextGen? I like the idea of recycling oil and helping lower our demand on crude. I work at an autoparts store and a lot of people ask about it, but I really can't give them anymore information than what Valvoline says. I am surprised that it is the same price as their standard conventional and maxlife. I think if they dropped the price a bit, people would be more willing to give it a try.

As i see it, the 4.0L motor only cares if there some sort of oil in the motor so if nextgen was cheaper I would buy it. I opt for the best deal on oil. Some will say the life of the motor is all about oil, meh its an I-6 and ive seen some nasty things come out of my motor due to PO. still runs like a charm

That's where I am at. If you want the public to buy in to recycled oil, why not offer an incentive. Maybe they figure the "going green" aspect of it is enough to sway buyers. But I have had many people look at it, then the non-recycled, and say, "I'll just stick with this."

from what I have seen its about the same price as the stuff as I am using.

and you are right, to get people to seriously consider it, make it better than the current product OR make it significantly cheaper

use it and get [UOA] oil test along with it. thats the only way to know if your oil is doing what it says
