Valve Rocker Bush Fitment
I guess this question has been asked but I could not find a thread of this in the search function.
Busy overhauling the head of my XJ 6L 6cyl year build 1996 (Right Hand Drive)
On the valve rocker is a bush that fits with a mating bush. The bush has tapered oil grooves on rocker side and its mating groove. On dismantling I only realized at no 5 cylinder I did not pay attention to the oil groove position so stripping no 6 cylinder I checked only to find that both inlet and outlet grooves were differently positioned (You can swap the bush around as you like). the Heyns Manual does not say anything on this.
So my question is as follows. When assembly the rocker bush to the stationary bush.
1) Must the rocker tapered oil groove bush over lap parallel with the stationary oil groove bush (meaning that the tapered grooves run together over each other)
2) Or do the grooves not run parallel over each other but run cross over each other
3) Or, it does not matter at all.
Picture shown oil groves in two different taper position between in and exhaust valve, the one was crossed over groove the other parallel (Does it really matter then)
