valve cover question

i did a lil searchina round and didnt see anything but... will an aluminum valve cover off of a 4.0 90 xj work on my 97?

I'm not %100 sure but I dont think it will work. I believe from 93-04 are the same but could be wrong. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will chime in and give you an answer soon...Tj

I just googled "Jeep Cherokee valve cover" and found that a replacement valve cover is good for the years 93-01, so I don't think a 90 would work for your application. Not sure on specifics why, though.
