Default Valve Cover Grommets or CCV?

My 1989 Jeep Cherokee came with the 4.0. On top of the valve cover from front to back it has a thick black hose then oil filer cap then a small black hose. The hose in the front has tons of silicon to hold it in place looks nasty. I want to replace the little rubber on the valve cover but what is it called? The autoparts store don't know what it's called either. And if you can post a pic so I know what it looks like.

Unofficial name- CCV grommet. The one in front is the same size as the one in the back and both cost less than $10 (both) at the parts store. The old ones will be brittle and usually will fall apart when removed. While you are at it, replace the rear 90* elbow. It has a small oriface that can get plugged over time and cause oil to be blown into the airbox. That fitting is only a couple of dollars as well and replacement of both it and the grommets can reduce the amount of oil that ooozes out on top of the valve cover. A little smear of fresh oil inside the grommets make installation easier.

So then both of them look the same? The front and the back? Just need to get an elbow too it's all nasty. Gonna go to the junk yard to check if they have any there.

i wouldn't get a used one, because you don't know if the elbows are plugged, and the grommets will most likely be weathered so bad you'll just damage them trying to pull them off an old junker. two elbows and grommets, as well as a new length of vent hose, shouldn't cost you more than $15.

Well I took off the silicone and they are not the same size. The front one is bigger than the front one. The rear one has a small hole thw size of a screw driver. The front one is much bigger. Gonna have to go to the dealership see if they have the right one.

The small one (towards the firewall) is a CCV grommet. And the large one is part of a vacuum harness that you can find on Advanced auto's website.
