Default Valve cover gasket o-rings ?

Another valve cover gasket question - where do the o-rings go? (No not the plastic clip seals).

After further investigation, there are only twelve o-rings so these must have something to do with the valves and not the valve cover. I already gave the valve seals to the machine shop to install when they were inspecting the head…

They are not used or needed on the 4.0L valve cover. So, no worries there.

I’m glad I questioned this as I realized that the metal spacers I throughout are reusable with the new seals. Only couldn’t find one of the fourteen.
