I cleaned out my NSS yesterday, and when under the car I saw the end of this hose hanging by the bell housing The attached end is just to the drivers side of the engine on the firewall. It looks like it had been zip tied to other hoses running along the firewall toward the passenger side.
4.0L 93 country.

Does anybody know where I should attach this thing?

I appreciate any help.

That canister is my guess as well. I cannot see a nipple on it that is missing a hose - Heck I can't find an empty receiver for tha hose any where. I also can't seem to find a useful diagram for the dang thing.

Just checked under the hood on mine...it looks like the fuel tank vent line that goes to the orifice towards the front edge on the charcoal canister.

That is the ticket. I could not see that dang connection on the charcoal canister, and I had to buy a special fitting to get it on. That new fuel line/vacuum line did not want to stretch.

So I hooked it back up (actually confirmed the proper placement looking at another XJ) Do you know wht that canister does? How important is that hose?
