Default Vacuum hose problem

I got in my jeep this morning to go to work and it wouldn't start. It turned over but nothing. So I popped the hood and found a hose free floating. I checked the diagram located on the inside of my hood, and it's not on there. I'm currently flipping through my manual but I'm finding nothing so far. I keep looking for a port missing a hose and I'm not finding it. Help please? It would be great to get to work

Any idea what Jeep it is? Year? Model? Engine? Any of that?

an update: I believe it's the hose coming out of the EGR valve? I think that's what it is.

What year is it?

That's not going to keep it from starting.

Is it spinning over as fast as it usually does? Do you have spark, fuel?

I don't know what else it could be. I mean it was running just fine yesterday. Any ideas where to start looking?

Take a picture of the hose and what it plugs into. Maybe we could help ID it.

ok so here's a real kick in the pants. I called a cab to get to work (50 dollars down the tube argh), got a ride home, went right over to my Jeep, and it started right up... lol

So maybe I flooded it? But I didn't do anything different than I've done any other morning. I'm thinking it's past time to replace my rotor cap, distributor and plugs. Think that might have anything to do with it? Would it have started up?
