Vacuum disconnect question

Yes you could do it and make it very clean too. Use the vacuum switch for the console out of a 84-86 full time unit. This switch operated a vacuum motor on the side of the transfer case. If you have the old style console, use that too. The switch fits in the coin holder depression. That would look as factory as it gets. The switch is lighted and says 2WD and 4WD on it and would be perfect for this.

yeah its for real... my buddy went in his body lifted old ranger... had to go get it the following weekend with a broke front axle... lol... i want to go but i want at least one locker first... i dont wanna be the guy thats gotta get pulled out of everything... lol... you can go around thebig stuff like most trails from what i understand...

im selling a posi lok unit for 75 dollars. i used it for about a year. no one seems to want it for 100 so 75 it is. it was originally 200. i have a non disco now so no need for the unit

I got rid of that soccer mom 4x4 and put a one piece axle in and seal with a block off plate I made. Problem solved!

my '90 doesn't have a vac disconnect or electronic disconnect. it is always just locked in. the disconnects seem to be random on these things. check to actually make sure you even have a disconnect.

Thats cause your 90 has the NP242, they did not use the vac disconnect with them. (or did very rarely)
My 89 has the 231, and is vac disconnect.
