well i have a 91 xj Laredo with the upcountry package and i know that the dana 35 has lsd but are the axle shafts stronger or are they the same as the regular dana 35 in the non-upcountry xj's? im asking cause im goin to get a set of 32"x12.5" mud kings and i dont want to run big tires on a weaker axle shafts since i drive it like a bat outa hell in the mud

no difference in shaft strength.

that being said, i ran 33/12.5's on my 93 XJ with a LS d35. i ran it hard through the mud, a lot. and i cant even count on both hands the amount of jeeps around here that run in mud with 33-35" tires and do fine. so you should be fine as long as you stick to mud. but there will always be a risk

and just one to show it had a Limited slip
