Unusual wiper no work problem
Hi, a couple of days ago my foot hit the fuse box (which is uncovered) and this small "U" shaped wire wrapped in duck tape fell off. I had always believed my truck came with the dreaded infinity amplifier and someone had rigged it to work with out it (bypassing it, I have read threads where similar procedures take place to do so).
However my radio has not worked since I bought the truck, nor has any radio I have put in (thankfully PO purchased a plug in radio harness) And today I go to leave for work in the middle of the rain and the wipers don't move... washer doesnt work either.. However rear wiper works fine as do turn signals and brights...
I am lead to believe that this U shape was connecting a circut allowing wipers to work but I don't remember where it went, just that the "U" faced up and was in the upper portion of the fuse box... any help would be great

I was just able to look a bit online. It seems the fuse was missing from the wiper and that "U" shape wire was put in to quick fix the part. I see other fuses that are the wrong amperage when I look at this pic. I have also noticed wires going into the fuse box, a white and black wire goes right to the middle, but mine doesn't have it. What is that "missing wire" for?
Can anyone point out anything else funky on my old girl? I'm at work and cannot really ponder the problem right now, but have to attack this first thing in the morning as my Volvo is down with bad tie-rods so I must get this one working first.

Well as I said, I'm pretty sure not having that fuse took my wipers out, as the missing one is the wipers... but if anyone has some insight, I can hit a few birds with one stone as I'm heading to the junkyard tomorrow after I get home from work, as I don't have that fuse handy. Anyone see anything amiss?
