Default Secondary/Auxillary Fuse Box

I am in the market for an auxillary/second fuse box to run off the battery for 2 reasons. A: to clean up the posts so it doesnt look like Medusa's head B: to provide a clean/secure fused location for Aux lights, CB, Inverter, etc. There are tons of companies out there, does anyone have a recommendation for a setup?

Check out my build for the ones I made for a friend and my bro. You can make them for cheap. Depending on how many circuits you need, there is also some nice professional one son eBay, if you type in Bussmann Relay Box one of the listings should come up to it. It's what I run as well.

BleepinJeep has a good video on YouTube about using a stock XJ fuse box as an auxiliary.

I use the 3 outlet auxiliary harness made by Painless. Mounted on passenger firewall.

Been there haha. While it was a clean OEM look, it took many hours to do correctly. And many runs to the JY because I kept breaking the brittle plastic.

How much was this of you don't mind me asking?

I know Painless stuff isn't cheap for other jeeps that's why I ask. Didn't even know they made this when I was looking.

What I'm using now, as it was the only thing small enough to with the right amount of circuits for my needs:
Secondary/Auxillary Fuse Box-image-2909925589.jpg

I didn't order this specific one because the seller couldn't answer any of my questions that I was asking, kept repeating "I've sold hundreds of these for al applications without problems" haha. So I found another seller that makes the same thing only cheaper and answered ALL questions. I'm trying to find his posting for you..

That one is around $75. One circuit is constant hot, I use it for CB. Other two circuits are 'ignition on'.

That's not bad haha. Compared to the $300+ I see for Wrangler stuff.

The little pdc box I use now has 6 relayed circuits and 6 fused, so you can run the CB and stuff to it as well. I like yours too, I'm a fan of any clean wiring though haha.

Thing is, I still had to add relays to two circuits to bring switches inside the cab. I'm surprised at how many wires it takes back and forth.

Even the smaller 6 circuit will probably work well and fit in the engine bay better.
