This morning I awoke to a dead battery, the battery is less than 1 year old, I need to check for a draw, but I didnt leave anything on, anyways, the vehicle ( 2000 XJ Sport), has a remote starter that I dont use or want, any ideas how to remove it, I also have a keyless Jeep fob, but that is oem, and doesnt matter is it works or not, my focus is the remote starter.
I do not know what brand

Is remote start an option for these?
Usually aftermarket kits are installed just below the steering column and if done with a harness kit just needs to be unplugged from the harness adapter and the factory plug put back into the column socket.

If your meter measures current I would disconnect the positive cable and place you meter between the cable and terminal and read the current draw. Make sure the doors are closed and the hood light bulb is removed. If there is current draw I would start removing fuses until you see the current go away. Then you will know what circuit is causing the problem and can go from there. I seriously doubt it is the remote start.
