Under dash lights on a 2000 xj
Does all the 97 to 01 xjs have the under dash footwell lights? Mine don't and don't see a plug someone post some pics of there's so I can see what I'm looking for. I been replacing bulbs with led and wondered about the footwells since I see some that have it. Mine is a 2000 sport with the dummy light gauge cluster. Roll up windows

I don't know about 97+, but pre-97 always has the plugin. The actual light itself was an optional feature.
I just installed some to my '92, you'll need mounts that screw into the lower dash. I will try and get pictures, but it's snowing out lol. the harness plugin may be a little hidden, the one for my passenger side was wrapped in foam with a few other plugs.
Make sure you find the plugins and remember what they look like before you go get the lights, there are several connector shapes.

Best pic i could get with a 15degree windchill, i'll pull the dash off when it warms up lol.
It's just like the sockets for the turn signals, and the connector my jeep used is the one on the right with the Red and Yellow wires.

get super happy SMD panels!!!
if you find a socket for the bulb, you can easily splice in some sweet 12v LED panels that are dirt cheap on ebay too. No need to worry about current draw even with multiples on one circuit since they're way less than an incandescent bulb by itself! Search "12v SMD panel" and look for the ones that have the adapter sets with them. I put them in my dome lights too - WAY brighter!
(That blue switch is my rear fogs, not the leds, btw.)
