Angry U joints and headaches

Went to 2 dif parts stores trying to find a u joint for my front right wheel axle. Went through every u joint they had. Finaly called the manufactuer and found one and it's still iffy on the fit. What am I doing wrong. Even the listed u joint for a Dana 30 wasn't right. Help please

The front end is a Dana 30. The rear on some XJs is the Dana 35.

And what do you mean a u-joint for a front right wheel axle?

This is what a u-joint looks like. Is it what you're talking about?

You should be using the 297/760 style axle u-joints. If you are having that much trouble order some spicer joints.

What you need then are joints with 1.87" diameter caps.
