Tom woods driveshaft makes a nice strong and greaseable ujoint. The zerk fitting is in the cap instead of the body....just saying

my biggest problem with the greaseable ones is, how does the grease get from the zerk to all the caps? It's hollow.

You pump it full of grease before install, so you are essentially just putting some back pressure on it to pump it into the outer most parts (where the seal on each cap is)

but it's still hollow if one zerk fills all caps. Grease isn't as strong as metal.

Correct. If you are doing serious wheeling, most dudes go with solid ones for the strength. I would rather have greaseable, and I've yet to have a problem with 20,000 miles. If they were rapidly exploding from normal use, you'd hear reports of it.

I have cap fittings on my axle shafts and I wish I would have gone with the trunion fitting since I've found them incredibly difficult to grease after any amount of grime builds up.
