the u joint on my rear drive shaft is toast and i went to pull the shaft and fluid starting leaking out of the t case is all my fluid going to leak out or just a little bit???

 

its going to drain as far down as the opening n your t case will allow it. so not too much. but you might as well change it, depending on the condition... so no fixed yoke on that rear shaft, huh? the front (my 99 xj) has fixed yokes, i thought the rear did too... ****in u joints.. i had my rear joint replaced and swapped the front driveshaft just the other day.

mine did the same thing on my np242 and my friends np231, its no big deal when we first did the u-joints on my friends jeep we put the slip yoke back in thinking it wouldn't stop leaking, it was kinda funny
