good day All,
i am new to the Jeep world.. so please bare with me on my question..
i have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee with a L6 4.0L enging and i live in Saudi Arabia
i was working the engine heads and while changing the valve cover gasket i noticed that the ones sole here are some cheap cardboard like gaskets which only runs fits the valve covers.. while i search online i see the gaskets are made of some type of silicon or plastic and has 4 metal plates running from side to side with two of them having holes on the side.. which i expect is for alignment.. i would like to know are there different types of heads/valve covers or is just a bad and a good quality gaskets?
would the one i see online (part number # VS 50458 R) work on the one i have?

One of the more popular ones on here that I have seen many speak highly of and I just installed is made by a company called Felpro and there are a couple but you want the blue silicon one. It is more expensive than the others but the quality is much better. I can't tell which one you posted just by the part number but it seems like it could be the one.

Felpro makes a rubber one that doesn't require the use of rtv. I just did my valve cover gasket and bought the rubber one at $35 compared to $5 for a cork or cardboard one I'd rather spend the money on a quality product. These valve covers are leaky I'd go with the Felpro rubber one unless you like replacing valve cover gaskets.
