Ok so iv got a 98 xj new coil new cps new cam sensor ..still wont start just turns ..no spark checked all the fuses they are good but under the hood fuse f21 labeled for ignition coil isnt geting power (using test light) neither is fuse 24 listed as oxygen sensor...now inside on the passanger side fuse box a few arnt getting power either like fuse 19 (starter) using a test like it isnt getting power ..yet it turns over and if i remove the fuse it doesnt..iv put over 200 in it and still have no idea whats causing it a lot of the sensors under the hood arnt geting power either im at a lose ..can anyone help me?

 

Dump the test light and buy an inexpensive DMM. Has this thing ever started/run?

 

I have a mm and yes it ran just fine then one day just wouldnt start all it does is crank

 

O2 sensor wires get chewed up by anything? Any rodent or water damage to any wire harness?

 

I checked the 02 sensors yesterday and they look good one was a little rusty but the wiring itself looks good followed them into the engine compartment

 

If a fuse is popped something is shorted. Are there any codes?

 

All the fuses i can find are good and as for codes no codes one the dash i havent yet rented a tester to hook up to it yet tho but no visable codes or engine lights

 

Does the check engine lamp illuminate when you turn the key to start?

 

Yes but then it goes off i can also hold the odometer button down and turn the key and let it run through everything and it shows no codes ..i actually just went ot to roll the windows up and noticed the gadges dont move like the temp ..battery...and oil dont move when i turn the key to roll the windows up

 

Can't run codes like that with OBDII you need an actual scanner.

 

Ill have to rent one tomorrow
