Could be anything from your steering box, trackbar bracket bolts, or hub...

Have you watch the front end as someone turns the wheel back and forth?

Usually I have it on the ground, some times the pop will go away once the steering is not under pressure.

I start with one side as someone (usually my wife) turns the wheel, and slowly look from one side to the other.

When I had a pop in the steering box i was able to listen for the pop and locate it in the steering box, then confirm it by touching the side of the box while she turned the wheel and felt the pop inside of the box.

You can also (CAREFULLY) hold you drag link, a tire, and other parts of the steering and feel for pops to locate it.
