an "Easy" way to find it and kill it. With my considerable lack of skill with mechanical things, I could probably complete this in 5-10 minutes... so any normal person should breeze through it.

thats a jaguar site, it might no be accurate. but you can pull a fuse and it will stop.

jeep forum says that there is a fuse and it is "number 4" and something about the glovebox?

There is a Jag XJ, I've seen a lot of them in my search. Ill do a fuse search in the morning and post back as to how it goes.
