Default turn/jiggle injector to start?

i have a 89 jeep cherokee. about 50% of the time i go to start it to turns but doesnt start. i pop the hood and turn and jiggle to injector closest to the windshield then go to start it and it works...the bolts and injector clips are all tight and in tact. i replaced the injector and the problem still exsisted. then i bought a whole new set of injectors and the problem still exsists. i replaced the fuel filter, pressure regulator, spark plugs, wires and distributor cap. any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Is the electrical connector bad? Standard Motors sells replacement pigtails, they do go bad.

I agree, it's not the injectors causing the issue, it's something electrical.

I have an 88 4.0L with the exact same probelm! I even changed the injectors and everything you did. What I ended up doing was changing the o-rings on the injectors. I bought them at Napa for $6.00 and it has given me no probelms since. It took me about an hour from start to finish.

You know what's near that injector connector? The CPS connector. Yo ucould be jiggling it and that's making the difference. Got a multi-meter and know how to use it?
