I don't mean to be blunt.... but if $5k is out of your price range then it would be better to invest in other upgrades.

As much as the salesman wants you to believe it... Turbo installation on an otherwise NA engine isn't always just bolt it on and go. If it is then it won't last. Tuning the car is the only way to maximize performance and not blow up your engine. Tuning isn't cheap.

If you want true real live turbo in a reliable application plan on investing at least 10 grand initially for mild, safe gains. Plan on another 5 grand to upgrade the internals and engine rebuild if you want to go for high gains.

I do not know as much about these 4.0 as I do 4.6s and 5.0s but if you have the knowledge and understanding and a dyno you could get a safe performance boost for under 3000.

If you wheel it a turbo wouldnt do to much for you. I think you should look into a stroker kit. It will be much cheaper in the end.

In all honesty a turbo on a wheeler isn't a good idea due to trying to build boost while going up hill and other off road obstacles that require power on demand. A supercharger or a built motor/displacement is more conventional. Although if you dont off road and its just a toy go nuts! Thats my plan.
