Hesco makes a real nice stroker kit, and you could also build your own stroker motor using old 4.2l parts.
what is your goal with the jeep?

if your throwing around the idea of either one. go with the stroker. a turbo will only help on higher rpm ranges. if you wheel in 4Lo and keep it in first gear then you'll have all the power you need but most wheel in 4hi and dont stay in first gear. if you want low end torque, go with the stroker.

The XJ stock has alot of low end but runs out of top end. a turbo wouldnt be the best idea because it wont spool fast enough. unless you get one that spools at low rpms then you need to stroke it because on the top side you run out of gear and motor. the xj has awesome 1 and 2 gears but is not fast after that. a full engine swap would be best a chevy 350 or a Zj v8

how about you get the supercharger out of a chevy cobolt and put that in that is direct power for when you get stuck or just want to race. low rpm= more tourque
