JP magazine had an issue about a month ago that they put one on.. Ill try to find it..

Nov '09 issue........it was a good read but I would still throw a 4.0 in it..........still low on hp and a turbo puts power down at the wrong rpm's........spooling the turbo up will break the tires loose and loose traction or well if you have the traction I can see the quick increase in power will break parts fast. Now if your doin desert runs that's a different story I like the rocks......I can see it workin in the desert better

yea i saw that in the magizine it was on the blue yj. yea im more into the jumpin sanddunes type of wheeling. i plan on doing a v8 eventually but im putting a new 4 cyl. in it this week or next and was just wondering how much power you could really see from that and how it would compare to a v8. it didnt look like the power was worth the amount of money they spent in the jp issue

Yeah it was low 100's nothin much.....but you keep the weight down...........I really like that 5.0 they are doin to the 4.0..........man I still drool thinkin about it

lol yea thats the sickest inline ive ever seen i guess thats y the tital is insane inline. i hope they dump it in a cherokee when their done with it !!!

lol well i just gotta worry bout mine getting me where i need to go for now. i been calling around lookin for the best price on a new motor. ive found a couple decent prices does 1200 sound about right for a total on a new 4 cyl?

Get a xj with a 4.0 for that $ swap the motor or the other parts.......whatever is easier

the only xjs ive found for that price have blown motors or have at least 250 k on them
