Tomorrow my friend and myself will be giving my 88 XJ a good tune up. Right now it has 197,xxx miles on it. It runs ok but lacks some power so were hoping the tune up will help. I've already changed the plugs which helped put some power back as the plugs were BLACK lol. So tomorrow it will be getting a new distributor cap and rotar, plug wires, and a fuel filter tomorrow. I've searched on the forums for quite a while now trying to find the proper way to replace the fuel filter. I read on one thread that you have to releave the pressure by pressing on some vavle in the engine bay is that correct? I tried finding a write up on this but came up with nothing.
