Sorry to hear about all this but happy to see things are being handled. If you need anything else just shoot me a PM direct and I can help you out!

Rick,

I know it's not your fault or the guy I talked with but it appears maybe some people in the shipping/warehouse need to be talked to. I work for an on-line company and making sure orders are filled correct and package well is our top priority whether the customer is a first timer or repeat. With this being my first order with you guys I won't lie I was disgusted that the product was even allowed to be shipped in the condition it was in. It looked like I had bought something from the "Scratch and Dented Discount section" not the "new" like I had paid for. Anyways I have the new kit being sent so I'm happy the problem has been addressed at this time.

Thanks for the response,

No problem, I fully understand! I have the warehouse manager standing right here next to me. I told him about it and said I'd forward this post to him so he can read over it.

What I know (I haven't worked in our warehouse, but am over there daily) with packaging that we receive from the manufacturer: We do not open the physical packaging of the part unless it's integral to counting the item into inventory or verifying the product. We want our customers to receive the item as sealed from the manufacturer. In some cases I'm sure a package or two may leave the manufacturer for us missing an item. We do try our best to verify what leaves our facility is what you ordered. I definitely apologize that you received the incorrect amount, though.

Please feel free to PM me if you need anything!

Have a great day!

Thanks a ton! We definitely try our best. We have a system implemented where if a mispick occurs, we know who mispicked the package. I believe this accountability reduces errors

Rick I would guess this wasn't sent to you from Accel like this. It looks like someone returned it to you guys. As mentioned boxes were all separate and had been opened, smashed and so on. Heck the one spark plug was floating around in your guys' box and it's box was flat as a pancake. I know stuff happens but someone in your warehouse just flat out didn't care. I got the tracking from you guys and should have what I need by Wednesday afternoon and I'll pack up what isn't used and send it back with the call tag the next day.

Thanks again for getting a handle on this.

There's another guy across the country going "Cool beans! I got me an extra spark plug for free!".

Yeah no kidding! They told me to pull what I needed from the new kit that will be here tomorrow and ship the rest back to them. Hopefully that stuff gets set aside or sent back to Accel so some other poor sap doesn't have to go through what I did.

I got home last night pulled the Jeep into the garage shut the door popped the hood and took the cap and rotor off then pulled the wires which basically fell apart as I took them off. Went in the house ate and then opened the box from Quadratec to find everything laying in the box loose. I had no idea on how these kit's shipped so I figured every box being separate was normal until I noticed the torn plastic bag with the wire clips, grease, instructions and the sticker laying in the bottom of the box. (That bag should have been in the plug wire box) then I noticed the rest of the boxes were beat up like they had been opened a few times, tabs torn and such, that's when I also notice a spark plug rolling around in the shipping box out of it's box which was smashed flat. So with my plug wires off and now trashed and me needing to drive to work in the morning I needed to get what I could on and go. I looked over the cap, rotor and plug wires which were all in great like new shape and installed them. As for the missing spark plug all I wanted was Quadratec to ship me the missing plug. So when I called I asked to have just the plug shipped and that's when I was informed that they couldn't because this all should have been in one box from Accel and that Quadratec doesn't stock just the plugs. I explained what I had done because I needed the Jeep for work and the guy just said ship back what I don't use. It's obvious that what they shipped me the first time should have never been sent out but sent back to Accel to be repackaged. My plan is to swap the plugs out with the ones they send me in the new kit put a note on the kit going back that it is missing parts (spark plugs) and ship it back to them. So I do have a legit ***** and for those of you that don't like it then hey don't read the thread it's a pretty simple solution.

dang simmer down

that's one reason I *always check parts before beginning work. I made that mistake once myself and now refuse to touch bolt one until I verify the parts are both what I ordered and in proper working condition.

edit: I swapped the accel plugs with champion stock replacement plugs. I noticed the champs are longer by about 1/8" thread butt to electrode.

you don't have a legit *****, somebody makes one mistake and you freak out. You stated *****ing well before you called to see if they would make it right.

As for your 50 mile round trip screw up, you didn't check the parts before you left the store.

I feel like this should have been a post praising quadratec's customer service. They righted their wrong and you still want more. How many free cheeseburgers do you get a year because they didn't hear you say "no onions"?

:+1:

ALWAYS check part numbers, wire lengths, condition, etc. first.

For starters D'bag It's pretty tough to tell if a ball joint is correct when the old ones are still in the Jeep which I was driving when I picked up the ball joints. Yes one was longer than the other and even at that point if I would have caught it then I still wouldn't have any way to tell which was the correct on when the originals were still in the JEEP. And if you actually took the time to read my previous posts in this thread I didn't at any time ask for anything special all I asked for was the on freaking spark plug from Quadratec and that was it. I do expect from any online retailer that when I order that I get new un opened product that is complete in the original manufacturers packaging not a bunch of loose well worn out boxes. So yes they did screw up by shipping it that way in the first place, yes they did fix the issue. Today I got a black box with an Accel sticker on the outside with the kit part number printed on it. Inside was everything in brand new condition with the difference being that it contained two boxes with 4 spark plugs each. I did as requested and pulled the plugs out put in the 5 they originally sent me and taped the box back shut so Fed EX can pick it back up Thursday. Plugs are in Jeep runs great and I'm happy. As for you and the others that want to ride my *** and making me the bad guy well here I'll make it easy, my a$$ is on the computer screen feel free to pucker up and kiss it.

1. You said you left the parts store with 1 ball joint longer than the others. You should have known something was up

2. You were asking Quadratec to talk to somebody in the warehouse

3. Why are boxes so important to you?

4. Since you expect new unopened boxes, what should Quadratec do with the returns they get? Throw them away?

Dude:

His major issue seems to be why they couldn't just send him one spark plug and be done with it.

Why does this bother you so much?
