I bought the duralast t stat, it's 192*. I went to autozone and duralast seemed to be the best they had in stock. It was either that or valucraft and something that has a name brand called valucraft just seems cheaply made to me.

I don't believe so, they make a "Superstat" which has a better build quality than their regular tstat. Where do you buy a fail-safe tstat for the cherokee? I used my google machine to find an answer and came up with nothing

Do you guys replace the thermostat housing when you do the tstat?

That's not true...it's just a better build quality than the regular Stant tstat.

http://www.stant.com/brochure.cfm?br...ocation_id=168

I can't seem to find any info for a "fail-safe" tstat for the Cherokee. IF anyone does find a tstat that is a fail-safe please do share.
