Default Trying to fix this issue tmrw...

it takes a long time to shift to first gear and then jumps at the first gear shift. After that it's fine, and when it's warmed up and driving it is fine. But start it up again and it will surely jump after the at the first gear shift. I already have some trans fluid so tmrw I am going to change it out plus change the filter (just because). AND ALSO when I back up It rattles and vibrates really bad.
I have heard that it could maybe be the trans mount could be worn, but to my knowledge it feels fine. Any suggestions?

Change the fluid using Dex/Merc and look at the trans mount while you're there.

Just checked it, Looks kind of rough so I ordered a new one from quadratic. WOW, the price at my local store was 93 and online it is 20.77...crazy and it's the same thing. Also gonna do that trans fluid change today and see if anything changes. Thanks for the help cruiser!

Don't pull the pan unless you're feeling like abusing yourself.

Look at your engine mounts also.

So yeah just a had a really ****ty time....wish I would have read cruiser's comment sooner. I put the new filter in WITHOUT taking the dip stick out and put a new gasket on WITHOUT taking it out. I tried to get that dip stick connection apart for like 3 hours lol and then just figured out a way to get everything done with it on. I put everything together (besides one bolt I seriously could not find) and hopefully nothing leaks. But future advice would be to NEVER do this again. don't change the filter JUST change the fluid. and a week later change it again (to get get all the old fluid out.
