Default Trunk tool / storage box

Hey everyone
I have been looking for this all around, couldn't find anything. It was bought for 30 Euros second hand by a FB friend od mine in Italy. Anybody knows who makes/made it... or if in the US its easy to find perhaps? I think this is so badly needed in our xjs!!! Especially if you live in town and want to have a few tools in a bit more concealed way than in a bag in the trunk....

Dealer installed option for holding the 6 CD changer.
It is a Jeep thing.
My '00 has one.

30 Euros was a steal. At least compared to what the couple I have seen for sale have gone for.
I think one guy was asking $250. Not that I think it is worth it.
Chances of finding one is pretty slim.
A third option if you can find it is the Lido box. Some say Lido on them. Some say Jeep. All made by Lido.
Picked up one local to me for $50 off Craigslist. Really just cause I figured I would never see one again.
Saw one once on Ebay and think the guy wanted $150 for it. Again not that I think it is worth that much.
Needs a new lock. Not that the lock is all that secure. LOL.

They made one for the driver's side but never have seen one of those for sale.

I'd love something like that but my spare goes over that panel.

So your spare in a RHD XJ is on "your" driver's side.
I was checking out this thread awhile back.

And commented that I thought in RHD XJ's the tire was on the other side.
So now I wonder why they changed it.
Maybe you could too.

Well it certainly is on the drivers side for me. The body behind the plastic has RHD stamped into it where the bracket attaches.
