Default Tools for wheelin

Anyone have a list of sockets and wrenches and what ever else they drag around that may come in handy for a 94sport. Don't feel like carrying an entire box around with me.........

I can't address specific tools that you may need, you may want to consider buying a tool roll to store basic wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers and other small/medium tools. Amazon had several when I bought one. Quieter than a rattling tool box and better organized when you have to open it up at trailside.

I keep an entire tool box. 3/8" and 1/2" drive ratchets from 7mm to 24mm. Channel locks, hammer etc. Don't skip on tools. Get stuff you May use once like a pickle fork.

I have 5 milk crates in keep in there yr around loaded with misc stuff like a tow strap and clevis, fluids, rags, etc. My tool box, mini floorjack, and two jackstands I carry usually during hunting season from mid Nov thru the winter unless something comes up before hand. Actually,I had to use my tow strap and clevis last weekend to pull a Chevy diesel p/u away from the fuel pumps when it wouldn't start.

36mm socket and a 12 point 13mm for the axle nut and hubs. I have a good sized tool box with everything. Metric and American, deep and short sockets. Metric and American wrenches. Torque bits, BFH, screw drivers, Allen wrenches, pliers, etc, etc. wire and other wiring things. Zip ties, tape, pb blaster.

Like stated, if I have it, it comes

It all depends on how much you wanna spend and if it matters if it get stolen or not. A pretty good set is from harbor the 300 piece set had just about everything you need, besides a breaker bar, hammer, and good set of wrenches. For all that it will run you about $200 maybe a little more with 20%off coupon a couple times. As long as you can limp it back home and work on it correctly. Plus who ever you go with should have some tools...... Hopefully.

Best thing to do would build a small tool box (or bag) of things that you think would need. And ten exclusively work out of that bag every time you do maintenence. Then add/buy tools when you need them. This way you will have everything that you need.

Also don't forget the essentials like PB, duct tape, zip ties, all fluids, duct tape, a jack of sorts, oh and don't forget duct tape.

I bring pretty much everything to swap out axles and drive shafts and a BFH wire scotch locks zip ties and duct tape. You never know what might happen on the trail I've had to swap out a tranny on the trail after I broke it in half then couldn't find a new auto tranny ended up doing a 4 speed swap pedals and everything. I had everything I needed to get the job done.
