Talking Trim

Was wondering how to go about recoloring the trim that runs about 2/3 down, along the doors on late model xj's. Is painting it the way to go, or is there a dye that will give it a better look? no clue, just wondering what everyones take on this is.
Thanks!

War Damn Eagle!

Hey, I used vinyl spray paint on the seats of my wife's 66 Mustang (AKA "Big Al" in the house divided), and it turned out pretty good. I was able to do a two tone (red with grey inserts) allowing 2 days dry time before taping. Hope this helps.

Although red is my favorite color, I bleed orange and blue.

I used 'Kiwi Scuff Cover' black shoe dye on the black trim on my other vehicle last spring and it still looks excellent. I needed to do a couple coats to get it looking even but it's cheap and works great. 'Back to Black' and 'Forever Black' pretty much suck IMHO.
