I have a 185 degree thermostat. Everything seems fine with mine, except doesn't go above 210 ever... The PO had pulled the thermostat out, and this will keep the fluid constantly flowing, keeping the engine really cool, but I do not recommend this, especially if you live somewhere cold. (sounds from the other posts that this can effect your emissions pretty bad though.)
