Default "trickle" sound after driving, fuel re-entering the tank

I have had a lot of threads recently, but I am new to the XJ, I just got one about 3 weeks ago and I am a fast learner (already did a 3" lift), so I am trying to learn as much as possible as well as identify some common issues.

What I have is a trickling sound after i drive it and park it and turn it off. It has always done this (well, for the past 3 weeks anyway), and I didn't know what it was, at first I thought it was coolant draining back. Today I was underneath, torquing all my suspension bolts and I heard it coming from the fuel tank, it sounded like gas was running back into the tank. Is this normal? or do i have an evap problem? I do have a bit of a rough idle and I was wondering if this is a contributor to my rough idle.

that probally mean you have a bad check valve...which is supose to hold the fuel in the line for a quick RE-Start.

Does your Jeep not want to start on the first key turn after sitting for a few hours? Mine has been doing that lately, so I am planning a fuel pump assembly swap in the near future. Now I've just been lazy and leaving the key in ON position for a few seconds before I try to crank it.

In case you didn't know the brillant engineers at Jeep put the check valve in as a part of the fuel pump module.

you can put it anywhere between the tank and fuel rail.
