Default trany question on 88 cherokee

So I live PR and I bought an 88 cherokee for the first time I bought it rough shape and they had the aut. trany shifting manual, but the dash cables were in bas shape so I changed the entire dash cables with another jeep, and it shifts auto. but not until 4500rpms and. I can't figure out why. The jeep was also carbuerated but changed to fuel injection. I've messed with cable on throttle and also tried taking out fuse from trans on fuse box underneath dash but nothing... pls help... getting frustrated. Or if I can get it to changed manual again would be alright to. Thanks guys

If that's the cable where throttle is then I've already tried adjusting and nothing... I wouldn't mind putting s I could change manually because my worries are overheating and use it daily
