Default transmission swap question

I had a 91 that I parted out and kept the transfer case. I bought a 93 with a bad transfer case. My problem is the transmission is 23 spline and the case is 21. I can get ahold of a transmission out of a 90 with the 21 spline output shaft a lot cheaper than a different case to match my transmission.

My question is this. Is there any other small changes I need to be aware of between the transmissions other than the output shaft? Will the older transmission and torque converter bolt directly to the newer engine?

Both transmissions are the aw4

Yes. You can do that. If you have to just use the torque converter and flex plate from the 90.

Should all be the same tho.

can I use the torque converter from my 93 in the trans from the 90? That way I wont have to get a different flywheel as well.
