Question I have a running bet...

Can anyone ID the part pictured below? My buddy was throwing out a box full of old parts and we got arguing about this one. I told him its the solenoid, but he disagreed. Anyone help settle this??

lol A solenoid? That's an ignition coil. Looks like you lost.

Like said above it's an ignition coil.
