Default Transmission seal

Have a 1998 Cherokee Sport wuth 115,000 miles on it. Just replaced tires and exhaust system. Now it has a transmission leak. Do I just replace seal at $700 or put in a rebuilt transmission for $2,000?

Thanks

That depends on which seal is leaking. We need more info or pics if possible.
And Welcome to CF!

I would replaced the seal if the front pump bushing is also replaced or check for wear. $700 is a way to much to pull transmission and replaced a seal in the part of the country were I live - I wound check for a better price - might try some transmission fix to see if it will stop leak - the transmission will have to come out the car ether way you go if its still leaking.
