Transmission Question

Engine: 4.0 IL6
Going down a hill in snow, when you want the car to slow itself down without using brakes for fear of sliding...or if you're offroading and down't want it to upshift if you gun it suddenly on a flat spot or right before a hill. savvy?

ok thanks. that helps. ive always wondered why they were there. i didnt want to try and use um when i didnt know what they did cause i didnt want to break something lol

It just prevents the tranmission from shifting into a higher gear than what's selected. I never knew what good it was either till snow driving :P. Also it's good if your pulling something in 4wd LO I think.
