I got a question. I have two Jeeps. One needs a motor and the other needs a transmission. I was going to try and fix both but my funds are not going to be able to do that. lol The question I got. My 92 has a good body and a freshly rebuilt engine but it doesn't have reverse. So I'm going to put the 6" lift and lockers out of the 88 into the 92 and was going to see if the transmission would be the same or would work. The 88 has a good trans but the body is beat to crap and it needs a lot of work so I'm going to part it out and scrap it. Thanks for any help!!!

 

88 had 21 spline trans to transfer case and 92 had 23 spline. You would have to use the 88 transfer case and trans as a unit. I'm not 100 % sure it will work in your 92, but I kinda think it will.
