This is probably a dumb question, but anyways. My XJ is an 85 with the 2.5L and it came with a T-4 tranny. I am going to get a T-5 and i was wondering if the t-case will bolt back up to it with no problems, same thing with the engine. Thanks

 

As long as the rear shaft has the same spline count, you will be good to go with no mods.

I think the T-5 was the best tranny they ever used in an XJ, for what that is worth.

 

The T-5 i want to get is from a four banger, so the spline should be the same right?
