Ok so no matter what I do with the throttle kick down cable no matter how many times I adjust it I dnt shift into 4th gear. I get up to 65mp and my rpms race at 4000 then it got up to 5000 and I let off because I didn't wanna blow the motor. The jeep isn't throwing any codes either. I'm guessing 4th years just blown

Yea. This all started happening after I went wheeling. I got stuck then had to put it into 4low. Got out then turned it off. Light went off but it was still on because I could feel it in the front end. So I played with the lever for the 4wheel drive and it seemed like it went off. The next day I was heading to school and I was doing 55 and I noticed something smelled hot. Like burning. Got to school and opened the hood and all I could see was the heat coming off the exhaust manifold and that's it. Ever since then it doesn't want to go into 4th and its shift pattern have been all messed up. And my throttle kick down cable doesn't adjust like it should. I have to keep adjusting it by hand which it's like the blind leading the blind
