Thanks for the helping hand IJM. I don't mind helping out but to the same thing over and over again and expect different results is insanity. So instead of going through the never ending troubleshooting process again it is nice to have someone that has been there-done that-post a link to the process.

If one would search lock up issues they would find that simply bringing up their ATF to full, changing out filthy ATF, or replacing the solenoids fixes the problem.

I pulled all three right there by the dipstick, cleaned them, looked them over well, dabbed a little dielectric on em and snugged em back together

Good.

Too bad you couldn't monitor the power to the lockup solenoid, or ohm test the solenoid when it's in Failure mode.

So I tested from the tcu and got 18 ohms on all the solenoids, tested at the plug on the dipstick, got 15.8. Applied 12 volts to the terminals at could hear the solenoids click on and off. Well two of them at least. The tcc solenoid was definately one that was cycling off and on…

It was probably the dielectric grease you used on those connectors that caused the high resistance. You should not use dielectric grease on pin connectors. I suggest you clean them off with electronic cleaner and try your readings again.

15.8 Ohms is a tad high but 18 Ohms is way too high.
