Default Transmission line leak



As you can see the Trans line is leaking. Anyone have a part number or link me to the Trans line on autozone. Bc I can't figure it out.

Hmmm. Are you sure that's not the power steering line?

That's trans. The power steering is just above the bottom of the bumper and wouldn't have red fluid on it.

It's right about the axle on the drivers side.

A lot of people use trans fluid in their power steering. It works fine, apparently.

Mine does that even after changing the lines. I figured the dorman quick connect for the upper lines (they connect around the middle of the radiator) does not connect very well. It doesn't really drip much, just accumulates over time until it runs to the bottom.

It could be that.

I repaired mine with fuel line, and also run Dex III, works fine.

Do that, except make it easy on yourself. Forget the compression fittings and hose barbs. All you need is ordinary hose clamps. There just isn't that much pressure in those lines.

Agreed ^. IIRC, it's 3/8 fuel line that fits. I just did two 8" sections where both in and out somehow got mashed near my spring. Doing it all in flex line would take a bit of care routing all that. Gotta be good, or the Jeep won't go! (without fluid). I used two small clamps on each, mounted 180* apart to be double sure. (8 clamps for both splices)
