Hey guys. I was driving my jeep earlier and noticed everytime i would cut a corner it would like cut out for a second then slip back into gear. I had a feeling maybe the fluid was low and it was swishing back and forth and not getting fluid for a second. Well i went to go take my buddy home and stopped at the gas station and looked under it and noticed the spot where you fill it had came out of the part it slides into on the transmission. Well i put it back in there and check my fluid and its really low. Like it was a little on the dipstick and thats it. Well i figured ok ill go drop my friend off then head home. On my way home i was driving it really carefull to be sure i didnt mess anything up. As i was driving i was noticing i was having to gas it a little more to make it get up to speed. The drive home wasnt to far maybe a few miles. I made it home but my question is, should the transmission be fine as long as i top it off with fluid tomorrow and run it for a minute? I really do hope its ok. I just got the transmission put in after 3 months of it sitting :/

You're lucky it's an AW4 though. They'll last just about forever behind the 4.0. You'll just want to invest in some external coolers and fans to keep it from overheating. Heat is the biggest issue with this tranny btw, so either way a cooler is great to have.

Yeah ive been thinking about getting a cooler for it especially if im gonna start going trail riding a lot with my friends. Thanks for making me feel a little better about the situation. What im going through with school and trying to find a job right now, it would be really bad if my transmission messed up again. Whenever i was driving it i could feel that it still had the power behind it, its just seemed a little different at the moment. Im gonna go get some fluid tomorrow and pray that its ok. Btw i love your signature at the bottom
I love that song haha.

I (as in you) is capitalized. The fluid will darken and smell funky when it's burnt. When its low and slipping, gassing it is really not a good idea. Trany shops are known for their honesty, and low rates.

All's well that ends well. Glad you got it.....that could have been bad! "well dad, it went so slow I had to floor it all the way home, and role down the windows because of all the smoke!"
