Nope completely different fluids
Diff fluid is very thick and motor oil isn't as thick.
Manuals don't take fluid like auto tranny's
You have to make sure your clutch fluid is full though

An AX-15 takes GL-3 80w-90 gear lube.
Since GL-3 is near impossible to find, GL-4 will work just fine. But do not use GL-5 gear lube. The sulfur in it will damage the synchro rings.

I used Pennzoil Synchromesh in mine and it seemed to work pretty good. Others say Redline MT90 or MTL is the best for it. My trans is toasted anyway, so I decided not to spend the $40 on Redline. Mopar's specifications for it now is actually plain old 10w30 motor oil. I personally don't think it is up to par though, so I didn't use it in my trans. Other people have used it with no problems though. Here's the link if you don't believe the nonsense http://www.quadratec.com/products/52250_90.htm .
