There's a transmission electrical connector (see pic) hanging on the back side on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee and can't figure out where it connects to. I'm in the process of getting the Jeep ready for the road after its been sitting for over two years and want to make sure everything is as ready as possible. I've looked everywhere but can't find where to plug that connector. Where or what does this connector connects to on the transmission?
Well, I haven't got any responses and my transmission seems to be working fine, so my guess is that the plug may be for testing purposes. The reason for my finding the unplugged connector was because I was getting a torque converter check light issue, so when I started verifying the electrical system I came across it. I did replace the torque converter and everything is AOK so I won't be concerned about the unplugged connector, other than put some type of cover on it to protect it from the environment.
