Changing radiator... lower connector to trans wont open... tried everything... read every post... it wont come off. I cut it.

See my pics. current hose to too short to just hose clamp directly to copper. Is there a way to splice to add length? Should I just go buy another one of the crimp on ring connectors?

i cut mine off too. i also added a much better trans cooler, can't remember if i just plugged off the radiator, or ran through both. but i don't have those crappy quick disconnects anymore.

 

Cut your hose even shorter and add a longer piece to it with a barbed connector and hose clamps, force the other end over the copper flange ring and clamp it. There's only about 40 psi max in that hose. It should stay on fine.
