Angry Transmission Coolant Line Grip/Faster

I have a transmission fluid leak near the radiator. I had it worked on the other day and the mechanic told me that the leak is at the radiator where the transmission fluid coolant line attaches. They didn't have the piece that attaches the line, but I got the part number. I looked up the part with no luck. The people at AutoZone look at me like I have three heads when explaining what I need. "Dooran 800611" is the manufacturer/part number provided by the mechanic. The guy who wrote it down spelled it phonetically, so it's probably Deran, Doran, Doren, or something.

Has anyone heard of this part?

I'm leaking fluid like crazy!

Oh, I have a '98 Limited 4.0.

I swear, I'm surprised people at AZ even know what spark plugs are sometimes.

Are you talking about those quick-connect hoses/lines on the passenger side?

My 92 did the same thing - it is one of those push connect fittings. I just cut the fiiting off and clamped a piece of hose on it. 2 hose clamps and 12 inches of hose was $5.

Default Transmission line

You need a new tranny cooler line.Theres 2 of them, your gonna need a fuel line tool to disconnect them.I just replaced both lines today along with the radiator.Kinda a ***** to do..I got the lines and the tools at Carquest, you'll never get them apart without the tool.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! I started doing some research and figured out that the manufacturer name is Dorman, not Dooran. I'll get the part and take it to get installed tomorrow.

Thanks again!
