My transmission on my 2000 jeep Cherokee makes a ruff vibration when under a load or on a fast acceleration, only does this in first gear and if I accelerate slow it is fine, anybody have any ideas

hm, does it feel like its slipping. could be torque converter going out. Try a fluid and filter change. DO NOT FLUSH!

The vibration almost feels like something is grinding, I can feel it in the floor and in the center console, I was thinking a mount my self, I got under there and tightened some a lil, I was thinking that under a load or acceleration it is tweaking something causing the noise and vibration, but it only does it in first gear

Damn Jeeps, they always gotta make noises lol. Im a little stumped, hopefully someone else will chime in. If it was a mount it would do it in any gear.

So about 8 months ago I was towing my boat up a hill and overheated the tranny and some boiled out the top, I think that pretty much smoked the tranny fluid, it has to be related, it never did it before that, it kinda came on slow and now if I give it a about have throttle it does the creaking grinding thing

He said there is some belts and that they might slip and he said you can tighten the belt up in 1st gear I believe to prevent it from slipping

Its a bad not a belt it is recomended when you do a filter change. But I don't belive that's your problem. It sounds to me like a u joint issue. Band adjustment won't cause a vibration.
