Default Transfercase Drop Removal?

With the upgraded driveshaft there is no longer any need for the transfercase drop so it has been removed. Originally it was only a 3/4" drop using only 4 thick washers. Upon removal I noticed that the exhaust is now resting on the cross member creating one heck of a racket. Anyone have any solutions for raising the exhaust back up to where it should be? If it helps the transfercase drop had only been installed for a little over a month.

Hanger over the cross member would need to pull the exhaust in and up to clear. How can one bend the hanger without pulling the weld off the exhaust pipe or damaging the surroundings? Is the hanger over the cross member adjustable in any way?

Used a little heat on the hanger last night and was expecting a fight. To my surprise once I did this the hanger bent back to it original form lifting the exhaust up and in away from all other surfaces. Think that when the drop was put in place someone bent it down and out causing an issue when the drop was removed. Much easier fix than anticipated.
